Problem Statement .... on case Roger Miller
Mr. Miller is a 42-year-old male with complaints of diarrhea with streaks of blood in stool, nausea without vomiting, headache, and "cottonmouth", which became progressively worse over the period of three days. He reports taking Kaopectate which has not helped his diarrhea. He reports recent travel to Chicago for work a few weeks ago. He admits consuming rare steaks and burgers during his stay. Physical examination and vital signs reveal fever, tachycardia, orthostatic hypotension, lightheadedness, dry mucous membrane, and tongue, diaphoretic with decreased skin turgor, diffuse abdominal pain and tenderness, hyperactive bowel sounds and positive guaiac test on rectal exams.
