Medications
1. Lithium is gold standard treatment and effective in mania or hypomania (www.accessmedicine, 2023).
300 mg PO 3 times daily, initially. Adjust dose by 300 mg every 3 days based on clinical response, tolerability, and serum lithium concentration. Usual dose: 600 mg PO 2 to 3 times daily (PDR.net).
