After reading this week’s Case study, it seems evident that KB is suffering from depression as well as anxiety. When patients come in with signs and symptoms of either disorder, it is important to screen them to assess for severity of the depression or anxiety they may be experiencing. Those screening tools do not only provide information on what category the patient falls in regard of severe of the disorder but can also be used to assess if current treatment is effective.
