Diagnostic tests
EGD resulted – positive for gastric ulcer.
Stomach Biopsy resulted – in positive for H. Pylori. No evidence of malignancy.
Pharmacological therapy
Amoxicillin – Take 500 mg PO bid for 10 days.
Clarithromycin – Take 500mg PO bid for 10 days.
Pantoprazole – Take 20mg PO bid for 10 days. Then 20mg PO daily for 8 weeks.
Acetaminophen – Take 650mg every 4-6 hours as needed for pain. Do not exceed 4000mg/day.
Multivitamin with Iron – take 1 tablet PO daily.
Current guidelines recommend a triple regimen using a combination of two antibiotics, specifically
