The ability to write an executive summary is one of the essential skills for a nurse executive to have. An executive summary is a concise yet thorough accounting of a more extensive report or proposal for change. For example, many criteria must be met when an institution has an accreditation visit. Therefore, the report received from the accreditors may be lengthy. High-level leaders will be given a report addressing significant areas of concern, the impact of the concerns on organizational efficiency and the quality of care, what is proposed for correcting the issue, and the organizational impact of the intervention. The executive summary is based on the evidence found in the report. This assignment aims to develop an executive summary and engage in scholarly analysis.

The paper will identify the results from a magnet report, or executive summary report, that was received by ANCC. This paper will identify findings and significant components supported by evidence-based research. As the chief quality and safety officer, findings will be communicated to the board of directors.
