This is an 18-year-old male college student with a history of childhood asthma who presents with an acute cough, fatigue, sore throat, headache x 4 days. He states he had interaction with someone that was sick, has not received his annual flu vaccination or COVID 19 booster. Upon physical examination he was noted to have a temperature of 101 F, tachycardia, erythematous pharynx, and bilateral anterior cervical lymphadenopathy, but is negative for adventitious breathe sounds and hepatospenomegaly.
