This week’s clinical marks the halfway point of the session. I was placed on the med surg floor to be able to complete my head-to-toe. It was my first time ever being on a med surg floor and I was expecting to have quite the boring day. It’d be a lie to say it was a great day full of learning, but it was definitely not a boring day. I was also able to clearly see why time management on this type of unit is so incredibly crucial. All it took was one small incident and my nurse and I were behind in med passes for the entire day.
