After arriving to my clinical location, I was assigned to the medical surgical ICU I reported to my nurse. The nurse I was paired with had two patient assignments and already received report so she gave me a quick introduction to the patients we were to care for. After about 30 minutes I had all the necessary information to create a plan on how to move forward to care for my patients. Both of my patients were stable, and one was pending discharge to another floor. My first patient to attend to needed to be prepped for his MRI and sedation was being withdrawn by the physicians.
