My scenario is an 18-year-old female who is presenting with STI
symptoms but is currently homeless and working as a sex worker on
the streets. She also has not finished her high school education due to
her dropping out and running away from her foster care home due to
suspected abuse. After doing some research within Maricopa County, I
was able to identify multiple resources available that could be of great
use to this client based on her present needs. Her most presiding issue
would be that she is experiencing STI symptoms and needs medical
attention as soon as possible to prevent further complications. I found
two great resources, Planned Parenthood and Maricopa County STD
Clinic, that could test and treat her STI at a very low cost to no cost
rate, these resources also provide education and prevention strategies
that would protect her long term. Services that would be needed long
