MATH225—Week 6 Quiz Review
A little more focus—the Week 6 quiz covers Week 5 & 6 material. These are the concepts that you want to review before you take the Week 6Quiz.Don’t forget to practice by working through the Knewton Review Center before you take the quiz
1. Understand principles of the Empirical Rule.
2. Understand the notation and interpret the parameters of a normal distribution.
3. Standardize a normally distributed random variable. To change a value into a z-score, you take the (value–mean)/standard deviation. If your z-score is positive, you are above (or to the right) of the mean. If your z-score is negative, you are below (or to the left) of the mean. If the z-score is zero, the value is the same as the mean.
4. Use the empirical rule for normal distributions to estimate probability.
5. Use the normal distribution to compute probability with excel. Make sure to download the Week 5 Excel Spreadsheet Calculator................. Continue
