I chose to write about “Analyze views of women's reproductive solutions in the 19th Century and interpret their historical and contemporary impact”. Until the second part of the 19th century, abortion was actually legal in America. In 1821, the first legal abortion regulation was passed in Connecticut. This was passed to try and protect women rather than to make abortion a criminal act nor restrict access to getting an abortion. In the 1850’s the leader of the American Medical Association led a campaign which led to making reproductive rights a political issue........................continue
