There are three potential candidates for a heart that we have just received; Jerry, Lisa, and Ozzy. Below is each candidate bio and my recommendation for which candidate should be the recipient of the heart follows.
Candidate 1: Jerry, 55-year-old, male, married father of three; wife Joanie is at the bedside. History of steroid use in his twenties causing previous heart damage. Candidate #1 is a very involved father with his young children who are active in his life along with his stay at home wife. Receiving this heart would increase candidate #1’s life expectancy by another 10-15 years.
Candidate 2: Lisa, 12-year-old, female, history of viral infections and lupus like immune deficiency. Last year candidate #2’s heart was damaged while she had pneumonia; she suffered cardiac arrest.
